MR. MOHAMED JASSIM BUZIZI

ATTA’s team is lead by Mr. Buzizi; his dynamic and charismatic
character played an important role in portraying the Kingdom of
Bahrain as an attractive destination for the international
events. Therefore, he is instrumental in establishing ATTA,
collaborating his knowledge and his global connections in
Europe, The United States of America, South East Asia and
Australia.
His career started with the Gulf Hotel where he served for 37
years until his last position in April 2007 where he was the
Managing Director and Board Member of the Gulf Hotel Group. His
experience made him a living icon in the hospitality and tourism
industries in Bahrain. He currently serves as a board member &
advisor to the Chairman for International Relations with the
Gulf Hotel Group.

MR. ANTHONY WONG KIM HOOI PMP
Associate, ATTA
Born in
1956, Anthony Wong’s instinctive passion for the outdoors and
nature led him to embark a career in the Tourism industry in
1973 while still in high school. In 1976, Asian Overland
Services Tours and Travel (AOS) was established and now 39 years
later, AOS has become the leading inbound tour operator for Eco
tourism, adventure, experiential learning and special interest
incentive tours in the country. His motto is “Don’t go where the
path leads, rather go where there’s no path and leave a trail.”
In 1990, Anthony established AOS conventions and events; a
destination management company and a professional congress
organizer to meet clients demand for M.I.C.E. activities in
Malaysia. The company, till date, has successfully managed
groups with members ranging from 20 to 10,000 people.
Being a green person, Anthony successfully transformed his 4
star resort into a green hotel. The Frangipani Langkawi in
Malaysia was upon the first to support green initiatives in the
tourism industry aimed at saving water and energy as well as
reducing solid waste to help create a safe environment for the
locals.
Aside from being an expert in the field of training and
motivational speaking, Anthony was amongst 4 recipients of the
“Academy Awards” that were recognized for his efforts towards
raising awareness of the incentive and meetings product within
the Asia Pacific region. He was also awarded “Industry person of
the year” in the Asia Pacific region by Reed Travel Exhibitions
in Melbourne, Australia during AIME 2007.
MR. CHARLES LEONG

Charles enjoys over 40 years of sales, marketing and management
experience in the travel and tourism industry, both the private
and public sectors. His experience has spanned internationally
having worked in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and USA.
His career includes working 19 years as a General Manager for
Singapore Airlines in Europe, USA, the Middle East and
Singapore; 4 years of inbound and outbound operations as GM and
Vice President in Singapore and Hawaii; 14 years with the
Singapore Tourism Board as Senior Vice President, Americas in
USA and Singapore and 13 years with the Banyan Tree Hotels and
Resorts Groups. In April 2004, he bought majority of the equity
in Pacific Leisure Marketing PTE. LTD.
MR. PETER R MAKEPEACE
Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
Peter
has over 20 years of experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain,
providing professional services in respect of cost consultancy
and project management on a wealth of projects throughout the
Kingdom and the Middle East.
Peter started his career in London in 1973, progressing through
both private practice and local Government, gaining professional
qualification accolade in 1983. He also predominantly worked on
a leisure and replica watches hospitality projects where he
began his exciting expatriate stage of life, coming to Bahrain
and immediately providing consultancy services to the Bahrain
Hotels Company, now known as the Gulf Hotels Group.
During the past 20 years, Peter has worked continuously on Gulf
Hotel projects, including the Gulf International Convention &
Exhibition Centre construction and fit out, as well as a great
many other hotel and aviation projects in Bahrain, ensuring the
key aspects of time, quality, cost and function are met on all
projects
SARAH KAJONBORRIRAK
With
a degree in Fitness and Nutrition as well as another in Hotel
Management; Sarah is the founder of Thai Heritage Spa Co., Ltd.,
and two other subsidiary companies Thai Heritage Spa School,
Sivalai Spa and Sevenseas Media & Networks where she was able to
broaden her experience in the health industry for over 15 years.
She had served as Managerial staff in several leading hotels and
spas in Bangkok, she too was an exclusive Spa Consultant to many
respectable architectural firms, real estate developers and
investors not only in Thailand but in other countries such as
Kazakhstan, Bahrain and Kuwait.
